Florida Beach

AKP and I are in FL for Thanksgiving. We stayed a few days in Orlando and then headed down to Sarasota to see A's folks.

It is nice to make pictures for fun. It has been a while since I was able to walk around and use the sunny 16 rule (no light meter of course). Here are a few images that I made walking on the beach.

On the first Friday last month our building had a party. It was an open house to let people know what was in the Imperial Building. It was a good time. We had a great party made a few friends and had a few adult beverages.

I also had the camera set up on a timer so people could take their own portraits. Here are a few.

I have been behind on posts, sorry about that. I have had a lot of things going on this fall. I did get to photograph the lovely JN last week. Here is one of the images, I will get the rest up when I get back to CO.

I am sitting in a hotel in Orlando and heading to the beach today. Not a bad Thanksgiving.

Zeke Herrle 1997-2008

A few days ago I got an email from a good friend of mine letting me know that Zeke had passed away. Many of you WKU people knew Jake and Zeke.

We all had four legged friends in school, Abbey, Hannah, Leica are just a few. Many nights there were dogs in the darkroom as we tried to print the PJ story that was due in a few hours. The dogs were always happy no matter how mad we were because the poorley exposed negative was making a poor print or the mounting press just melted another print.

Dogs have been a constant in my world since I was 21. I know how hard it is to loose one. Now, Hannah keeps the studio safe and makes sure that the Beggin Strips do not go to waste.
