Well this last weekend was great. I got to photograph Brandy and Scott's wedding which was very nice. The time was tight and I think that they put up with my direction for portraits and frantically running about very well. The end result was worth it.
This week I have had jury duty which is placing my behind. I have not had a chance to get much done other than late at night. I will be pposting some of the images from the wedding soon.
Hope all is well.

Winter is coming

Well, Winter is coming. This weekend brought 6" of fresh snow to my home in the mountains. Alyse and I woke up to the snow on Sunday morning. It is nice for the seasons to really start the change. We had the first fire in stove and watched the Rockies. Not to Shabby.
On Sunday afternoon, I had to stop by the studio to deliver some prints and found that the "new" roof was leaking. I had more leaks than before the project. I called the mgt. company and they said nothing could be done unitl Monday. I had to move all the computers and printers, emptied trash cans so they could catch water and that is all I could do. Then with the snow I felt I should go and get my ski pass for the season. I had to do it.
Monday brought the wonderful clear crisp mountain weather back. I made these pictures on the way to work. This week is looking busy, I have a few large projects that i have to have a rough edit done by Friday, Then a wedding this weekend.
Take care,
Jake

This weekend I was able to attend the wedding of two near and dear friends, Barry and Fairlight. They got married at the Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada, just outside of Las Vegas. It was a wonderful ceremony. It is nice when a photographer plans the wedding, the best light, the best location, etc.
I wish all the best to Bear and Fairlight. They are two wonderful people.
I will have more images posted soon, I have to catch up from being gone for the long weekend.
We are also dealing with the re- roofing of the studio. I have had the bathroom vent fan fall in to the bathroom, I came outside to a spray of hydraulic fluid all over the front of the studio and the yelling and cursing of the roofers. It is not an ideal situation. I am thinking about escaping to the coffee shop to finish up.
