Beer, Rookies and buck

For the last 5 years or so, I have been involved with the Fire Academy at Elk Creek. The rookies just finished up the academy and now are probies at the department. We had a little party and they brewed a beer for some of us and delivered it that night. It was fantastic (even though it was consumed at a lower temp than 55 degrees). So, congrats to the rookie class of 09'.

The Triple Bypass

120 miles of hills and rain.

Last weekend I rode the Triple Bypass ride on my bike. It is 120 miles, over 10k feet of climbing and a lot of rain. It was quite the good time. I rode it with some friends from the fire department.

I rode it on my new bike as well, I only had about 500 miles on it before the ride, what an epic time to ride a heavy touring bike on a ride like that. I loved it. It faired pretty well with no break downs. I also finally got a jersey that i might actually wear.

Local 4710

I am also working on some content for the website at the firehouse. Here is the intro page that I have been working on. I spent an hour and a half this morning making the image and then added the rest. What do you think? Does it work?

Here is the link to the website for IAFF Local 4710.

this has been a trying month. For some reason the Concept website has fallen apart and now I am scrambling to get it back together. It has been a bit of a problem. That is the way it goes sometimes I guess. Until the site is up I will be posting more images here and hopefully staying in touch.
